The Girl is now 11 months old. She has gotten 4 teeth with 2 more on the way. We gave her her birthday present early, a swing for the swing set my sister gave us and she loved it!
I have been a bad blogger lately, I cannot believe how fast time has flown by. I have been very busy at home and at the salon so I apologize for not blogging and I hope that I will be able to make it part of my new routine. See now I have to have things like lists and budgets and routines.
I find myself wondering which life is more difficult, my mother life or my work life.
The Girl has been in separation anxiety mode for the last several weeks and cutting more teeth so it has been rough time for both of us. She has rarely let me more than a few inches away for more than a few moments without having a meltdown. She seems to be slowly growing out of this stage which is an answer to a prayer. She now -okay the last 2 days- will go off and play with something and "check in" periodically with me. She is a wonderful child and for that I am very blessed.
I find myself longing for the days when things were getting done. Now it is as if I am in some strange time warp where hours and minutes fly by and all I did was feed the baby lunch or wipe off the dirty counter. I am not a perfectionist but I did like when things got done around the house. I liked having clean laundry and a clean bathroom all on the same day, now it seems I can barely take a shower AND put makeup on without begging my husband to help. I am also scared to think what will happen when I cannot contain Emily to an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in her exer-saucer with a banana and some puffs.
I wish I was creating more jewelry but I have been so hung up on getting the business ends tied up that it seems there is no time left for actually making things. I hope to turn that around as I have some ideas swirling around in my head. I am also very busy with repairs -not my stuff- and custom orders that it seems there is no time left to make new things. I won't be taking any more repairs after this batch is finished, I find that they take up a ton of my time and then there is no time left to make what I want to. I will repair my own stuff if needed or customize an existing piece but I feel with the limited time I have -only 2-3 hrs a night- I need to limit the custom requests and eliminate all repairs for a while.
Well it was a long day, we opened my parents pool and went to Crafts at New Paltz, so I am off to get some sleep. I made a note to blog more. I would like to at least once a week, so stay tuned...
