One Crayon Color Challenge

Welcome to the One Crayon Color Challenge!
Today is reveal day and I am pretty excited because I was like a crazy person and created my pieces the day after the announcement was made that I was accepted. Yup, I love my color.

My color is brown :-) I love brown in jewelry. I love Vintaj because it lends itself so well to brown. I love copper because it works with brown. I love Bronzite beads, they are my favorite.

Here is the color palette which inspired me,

When I think of brown I think of the perfect cup of coffee, dark, rich, deep brown and as you add cream (I love cream) it gets lighter and lighter to a silky creamy brown.

Here are the pieces I made:

Flower charms from Nancy Schindler of RoundRabbitExtra

Charm from Nancy Schindler, beads are vintage lucite and the caps are from an old godiva tin which I cut, dapped, filed and punched holes in (nope I didn't get to eat the chocolates)

My etched copper key, lampwork bead from Cherylsart and vintage lucite beads

Charms from nancy Schindler and bronzite beads

Do you love brown, let me know by leaving a comment?
Thanks for stopping by, I really do appreciate it.

  12. You do make brown look yummy. I am really taken with that first set. It does remind me of a latte and is just a gorgeous color palette. I love the godiva tin bead caps. I will be filing that idea away and maybe be taking a trip to the closest godiva store. :)

  13. Nice! I'm glad you called out the bead caps specifically because at first I simply though the beads themselves were sriped white and brown. I had to pull up the larger picture to see the caps, they blended so smoothly.

What fun that they came from a godiva tin! Very nice!

  18. Shannon, this is just perfect! I just told Diana that white-beige-brown is a combination I found extremely elegant and lovely to wear! While I am not fond of brown at all, your designs are rich and elegant, with the perfect balance between light and dark colours... the charm flowers are gorgeous, and add a delicate and feminine touch to what could otherwise have been a more 'tough' palette. Love it!
