I was sent the above selection of beads (thanks Cilla for the picture) and given the opportunity to participate in the Beads of Clay Designer Challenge.

The rules were simple make 1 pair of earrings and 1 necklace and you must use everything you were sent. Yikes! I didn't think I could do it and it took over 4 hours to make the necklace but I did it! Yes I did. I used everything I was sent and made only 1 necklace and 1 pair of earrings.
I love the dangle detail in the front and especially love the earrings. They are long shoulder dusters and are just fun to wear. The necklace is busier than I would normally make and wear but it is growing on me and I am actually starting to like it.

ReplyDeleteYum! These pieces really show off the colors and textures of each clay bead!
ReplyDeleteI love the necklace --there is a lot going on, but it's not overwhelming,and I think using wire to separate some segments keeps the lines clean. I like the asymmetry/symmetry of the orange and blue twisted changes on each side of the necklace dangle.
