No stopping me now

Hello!
I am loving what I am working on right now. I had an amazing weekend etching. My In-Law's are the most awesome In-Law's anyone could ask for. They offered to watch my daughter on Friday so that I could get some work done and work I did.
I was able to crank out almost 40 new pendants, bracelet focals, earring pairs and links!
I have already made several new jewelry pieces with them and have a ton of ideas being sketched and dreamed.

I wanted to share something I finally got the chance to play with on Friday...

My SAW. I bought my saw a long while ago and never, ever even loaded the blade into it. Then I found the link to Beaducation's free online tutorial on sawing shapes and I knew I could do it.

How the pendant started out
I decided the first thing I was going to saw was one of my etched pendants. I wanted to saw out the center of a pendant to either drop a bead in the center (which is what hubby wants me to do) or what I want to do it rivet it to an image which I have sealed in IceResin. Hmmm...

After I took the saw to it

Well anyway there is no stopping me now, sawing is easy. I can't believe I haven't done it before I love it, I found it therapeutic and a lot like doing nails.

I intended to only saw out one pendant but once I got started I couldn't stop.
I am now on the lookout for anything to saw :-)

I think I made about 6 of these!
Watch out Rory... (Rory is our Chihuahua and I am totally kidding)
Happy 1st of May!
How do you plan to spend the first day of May?

For never having used a saw before, your pieces turned out great!

That's something I have been afraid to try but you make it sound so easy. I love what you did.

Holy Cow! You're a precision sawing machine! I come from the hack and break blades school of sawing so I'm super impressed :)

Those are great! I learned to saw in a class but never got into it - you did a great job!

What great work. I've always been afraid to get a saw and try it. May have to re-think it.
