What's my thing?

After reading Lori Anderson's blog post and free e-course on blogging I fell I should have a thing.

By thing I mean like Wordless Wednesday, or Twisted Tuesdays like a couple of the blogs I follow.
I need a day where I am forced (oh, yeah kicking and screaming) to sit down and blog. A day with a "thing" a cool catchy title.
New necklace with pendant from Round Rabbit on my new dress form.

Got anything? How about some brainstorming? As Imagination Movers say "there's no bad ideas when you're brainstorming."
I came up with Windsor Hwy Wednesdays because my salon is on Windsor Hwy, FMSD Fridays, that's all I got for now. I will have to think about this some more, if you can leave me a comment that would be great and all ideas will be considered.
On another note I never named my dress form because she has a sister, yep I found another dress form at a garage sale for $10! Boy when I ask for something I sure get it, sometimes in a weird way. (IPad, Ipad, Flex Shaft, IPad, Disk Cutter) lol.
Anyway so these sisters both need names, one is brown and the other is black and they are awesome. I love them both as does the daughter.

I just tried my hand at a couple of new things this weekend glass fusing and copper etching. The glass fusing has a learning curve, translation= my first 3 fires stink. Misshapen, cloudy, weird color changes. Troubleshooting is in my future. The copper etching is awesome though and I will have a whole post on that later in the week when I upload my camera.
If you hung out this far thanks and I hope you all have a great week, I am back in the salon tomorrow so I am going to try and get some sleep. Yeah right I am so excited about copper etching I can't stand it!

Hidden

I found an amazing porcelain artist named Nancy Schindler while searching www.etsy.com one day and I have been dying to buy some of her things. I finally broke down and ordered from her shop http://roundrabbitextra.bigcartel.com/
I am in love with the piece I made from one of her components, it is called Renewal.
I love the symbolic meaning behind the peacock which from the research I found could apply to any faith, belief or religion (see below).

I chose to use the word renewal because of a sense of starting anew as we head into fall. I love fall, the cool crisp air, the color palate, sweaters.
I am starting fall anew, I have put items in my online shop, I am ordering new business cards, hang tags and signs. I got new furniture for my living room. I am embracing (sort of) my new heavier body by finally buying a couple of new outfits. I just resigned a 3 year lease at my salon. I am going to start doing home jewelry parties. We are working on converting my garage into a jewelry studio.
Whew, I am busy aren't I? It's great, I love to have things in the works, things to look forward to.

What do you love about fall? What is your favorite season and why?

Wishing you a happy fall....
