Lost...

Am I really lost or am I found?
I have felt exhausted and yet elated all week. I have an extremely messy house but my daughter turned 1 last week. I hear of other mother's that can clean their homes, do all the shopping, prepare meals for themselves and the poor and all I want to do is sit down and play dollies with my The Girl.
I have gotten no jewelry made in a very long time except custom orders and some repairs of other peoples stuff. The sad part is I am not really missing not beading, I know it will be there when I want to get back to it however it is a part of my business and I feel like I am letting my customers down. They all keep asking for my new stuff and I am supposed to be preparing for a home party in the fall but
I don't wanna.
I want to just play with The Girl and her dolls...

Happy 1st Birthday to my Sweet Daughter

Today is my daughter's 1st Birthday!

We celebrated with family on Sunday, which was also Father's Day. We had a very nice day together playing and eating. The Girl loves her cousin's and thinks she is 3 years old. She is walking as much as she can now and has even tried to stand up by herself. I cannot believe it has been a year since her birth, I can still remember every detail of the day she was born.

Today was tough as she went to her Grandparent's, my in-law's for the day because I have to work at the salon. It is hard to let her go on normal days but I found today especially difficult because it is her birthday. I know they are taking very good care of her and she loves going there but it is still hard to pack her up and watch my husband drive away without crying. Happy Birthday little stink, your mommy and daddy love you so very much!
I am off to the salon now, I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday, June 22nd.

I must admit I love to take pictures of my little girl learning to feed herself. It has not been an easy transition for her dad and I because now we have to find things she can eat with only 2 bottom teeth and 4 top teeth. She doesn't want us to help her eat anymore and will push the spoon away. Messy!
I made this bracelet using coral, Swarovski crystals, pearls, shells, a Green Girls Studio Coral branch, a handmade clasp and fine silver handmade fish beads. Tons of fun to make and I hear from it's new owner that she loves it and is getting lots of compliments whenever she wears it.

A client had purchased the bracelets in the photo above from another jewelry maker and never wore them so she asked me to cut them up and see what I could make for her. I cut all the bracelets apart and decided the best way to use a beads from all the bracelets was to make a memory wire bracelet. I heard from her that she loves it, yippie!
