I Heart Macro

Roses from my house. I planted these rose bushes about 10 years ago when we first bought our house. I was out of work for 3 months in the Spring of 2001 and before the chaos of planning a wedding and nail school began I gardened, a lot. I have since abandoned all my plants but these tiny rose bushes keep going! The flowers are about the size of my thumb but boy are they beautiful.

Have a great day! It is finally summer here in NY so I am going to be playing outside with my 2 year old :-)

What a sweet story - how you've maintained these special roses through the years! My Dad has a way with roses as well and always managed to plant a bush wherever we have lived - and they seemed to flourish without a lot of maintenance.
Our little ones are now the same ages - I can't believe your daughter is already TWO!

I just love the smell of roses and how velvety delicate their petals are… So happy they've made it 10 years. It's nice to have plants that have a history.

I wish I liked to garden. . .I do love flowers so much. However, the flowers in my yard are the ones our yard guys picked out. They didn't do to bad a job. Of course, I'm sure they would mean a lot more to me if they had a great story behind them like yours do!

It's basically a color challenge that I do once a month just to keep things interesting around here! Anyone can join and I'd love to see what you would create with the colors! Have a great week!
