Michael's Challenge Results

Today is the day of the big reveal for the Michael's blog challenge. It all started over at Lorelei's Blog. Lorelei went to Michael's  and bought these beads and we are all going to create a necklace using these beads and our own focal bead, clasp and 2 of any other bead we would like.

Here is the necklace I created, I love how it came out. What do you think? I love the colors Lorelei chose and all I added was the shell focal, stick pearls and my own handmade clasp.

Below are the links to all the other participants. Be sure to visit all the participants, there are some really talented artists participating.
I know I cannot wait to see what everyone has come up with.

This is a gorgeous piece, so simple and chic, and yet complex and really well thought-out. I'm loving the stick pearls with the challenge beads; they bring a great texture to this! The focal, too. It's a very modern-looking design, with very modern colors, and yet the colors and textures are so natural. Nice way to bring it all together! :)

I really like your necklace design. It was an unusual combination of beads and you put them together in a great way. Simple, but very interesting.

Mmmmmmmmm, I LIKE!
I particularly like that you let the chain be so important. I know a few out there has thougt the chain was a difficult element, but I personally really like it. And you made it really prominent!
Thanks for sharing.

I absolutely love how you used the white chain--that was the hardest part for me, but it looks so pretty the way you incorporated it!

I never would have imagined that these beads could end up looking so sleek and modern! I am completely impressed! I LOVE your necklace and esp. how the cinnabar fits right into the focal. Cool in every way!

Thanks so much everyone for all the super nice comments. I had a ton of fun with this challenge. I had several designs in my head and this is what came out. I didn't mind the chain as much as others did I chose to make it front and center because I love the draping effect it made.
I wish I had a pic of someone wearing it because it is really nice on.
I cannot wait to participate in the next one!!!
I love visiting all you blogs and seeing what you came up with, what a great Sunday!!!!!
